We’re a mobile private practice that specializes in serving Spanish- and English-speaking adults who’ve experienced stroke or brain injury in the Dallas-Fort Worth community. Utilizing evidence-based practice and a compassionate approach, we are dedicated to empowering those we serve to regain their voice, cognition, and ability to eat and drink safely.

What sets us apart is our background, mobility, and functionality. We are bilingually and bi-culturally trained, allowing us to effectively serve the Spanish- and English-speaking communities. We’re a mobile practice, meaning we can treat you in your own living environment, therefore increasing confidentiality, convenience, and functionality of our sessions. Krista McCormick, M.S., CCC- Bilingual SLP

Owner & Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist

Krista is a speech-language pathologist specializing in treating bilingual adults with acquired brain injury. She graduated with her bachelor’s of science from Eastern Michigan University in her home town of Ypsilanti, Michigan. She then moved to Cambados, Spain for a year to teach English in a middle and high school. She returned stateside to earn her master’s of science with an emphasis in bilingualism from Texas Christian University.

Krista utilizes a functional and person-centered approach in treatment, allowing each client’s environment, interests, and goals to be driving factors. She believes the therapeutic relationship between client and clinician is the cornerstone for the rehabilitation journey.

She is licensed in Texas and certified at the national level by the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA). She is also certified in Ampcare Effective Swallowing Protocol (ESP) and McNeill Dysphagia Therapy Program (MDTP).

Outside of therapy, Krista enjoys caring for her indoor plants, playing with her cat Lito, and cycling.
